Cookie Policy
The Downtown Aquarium Guide is an independent planning guide. We do not sell tickets and we never process payments. These pages do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social plugins, or sponsored-content cookies.
If you came from an advertisement, this page still applies. The ad network is not this host.
Meaning
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to store. Some are needed to show the page you requested. Others follow readers across sites for ads. We do not use the second kind.
What this host may set
| Item | Why | How long | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session or security cookie from the host, if any | HTTPS delivery to this host. Not advertising. Not profiling. | Session, or a short server period | Strictly necessary |
| Contact form | No cookie. Name, email and message go only when you press send. See Privacy. | — | — |
No advertising cookies, analytics cookies, social-login cookies, or remarketing. No checkout, so no payment cookie from us.
Elsewhere
A map, a search engine, or an operator’s own site may set its own cookies. We do not control them. This website is an independent planning guide, not affiliated with any aquarium or its operator.
Photographs are served from this host after being taken from public repositories (Wikimedia Commons). Loading those files from our server does not set a tracking cookie from those repositories.
Blocking
You can block or delete cookies in the browser. The articles will still read. If you block everything, a half-typed message may vanish if you leave the page.
We do not run advertising trackers that would listen for a “Do Not Track” signal, because we do not run advertising trackers.
Consent
Strictly necessary cookies used only to deliver the page you asked for do not need a marketing banner under PIPEDA. There is no cookie wall. If optional analytics were ever added — there is no present plan — this page would change first and we would ask before setting them.
